Managing wastes: a legal obligation!

The GEDEON project, undertaken by AFOCEL in partnership with GIPEBLOR, SMURFIT's Comptoir Du Pin, and TEMBEC's SEBSO, has won funding from the European LIFE Environment program.

GEDEON's goal is to make the forestry sector, and particularly small harvesting companies, aware of the regulations that govern the management of wastes. The project is also intended to organise the companies working in three pilot regions (Aquitaine, Lorraine, and Southern France) into a network for the collection and sorting of their wastes.
