In Lorraine

Containers have been installed at the CFPPA site at Mirecourt for the collection of the main hazardous wastes. The installations have been placed to handle first of all the wastes produced by CFPPA, but the latter makes them available to professionals in the area.

A free collection operation for hazardous wastes is currently organised by forest exploitation operation and forestry enterprises in Lorraine. A system of contribution will be designed subsequently according to the interest shown by participants and the success of the operation.

With SEBSO

SEBSO has set up installations for the regulation management of wastes at two of its sites-at St Gaudens (31) and Langeac (43). SEBSO makes its installations available to professionals working with it, within the framework of its ISO 14001 approach. A contribution is required according to the quantities and type of wastes delivered but it is a non-profit operation. The contribution corresponds to the real cost of waste recovery. Receipts are issued.

With independant garage

Two independent garages recover hazardous wastes as part of their services.

- Atelier Forestier B. d'Escrienne, PONSSE registered, at St George de Luzençon near Millau (12)

- Garage Technique Forestier Meyer, SE PONSSE registered, at Aubignosc near Sisteron (04)

These garages have undertaken quality procedures and are equipped with the containers needed for waste sorting. They use a collection service provider that disposes of the wastes in conformity with the regulations. Waste management costs are part of the cost of the service, on a non-profit basis. The client is provided with a receipt and a guarantee of the appropriate disposal of his wastes.
