Regulations

National laws may be at different level In the Incorporation of European legislation. However, the following points should be kept In mind.
Every enterprise is responsible for the wastes that it produces until the disposal thereof.
Any enterprise should be able to account for the final disposal of Its waste.
Waste disposal is at the expense of the enterprise.

Key point of the regulations
- Do not leaves waste in
woodland.
- Do not burn wastes (this
produces toxic fumes).
- Use an authorised
disposal solution (see
page 11) and do not
deliver wastes to an
unauthorised third party.
- Keep all disposal
documents for traceability.
- Keep a register
of collection of hazardous
wastes using forms
provided by the collector
and the disposal unit.
 

Good management practicies
At the site  
- Equip field
vehicles with
dustbins.
- Drain hoses
and filters to
recover as much
oil as possible
before storing
them.
   
In the workshop  
- Store wastes in
a sheltered place
on a concrete apron
to prevent pollution.
- Use collective sorting
so as not to mix hazardous
and non-hazardous wastes.
- Do not dispose
of wastes in the drains.
