Certifications

Certification attests that the quality and performance of products or services have been validated by an independent and accredited body. The certification criteria are defined in a reference framework recognised and accepted by all parties concerned: companies, users, consumers, experts and administrations. Each certification results in a mark (NF, CTB, PEFC, FSC®...) identified by a logo on products or commercial documents.

The “Origine France Garantie” label is a way of highlighting the French production of products.

FCBA, certification body is accredited by the COFRAC (Certification of Products and Services n° 5-0011 and certification of Persons n° 4-0029, scopes available on www.cofrac.fr)

In the field of wood construction, primary processing and furniture, FCBA issues product certifications under the CTB and NF marks on behalf of AFNOR Certification as well as individual certifications under the CTB mark.

Ecolabel européen mobilier en bois

Gestion forestière durable (PEFC)

The PEFC chain of custody certification ensures the identification of PEFC certified wood products in the successive stages of processing and distribution from the forest to the consumer. The objective of the PEFC mark is to recognise a company’s commitment to the process of enhancing the value of sustainably managed forests, and to communicate to the end consumer the company’s contribution to respect for the environment.

Gestion forestière responsable (FSC®)

The FSC® chain of custody certification ensures the identification of FSC® certified wood products in the successive stages of processing and distribution from the forest to the consumer.The objective of the FSC® trademark is to promote and ensure good forestry practices as defined in the “FSC® Principles and Criteria of Good Forestry Management” and to implement a homogeneous marking of FSC® certified wood and wood products.

GS

This German GS (Geprüfte Sicherheit, proven safety) certification attests that the furniture it covers complies with safety criteria defined in a reference system. It allows French manufacturers to have access to the German market and to those of northern European countries requiring this certification.

NF Ameublement

The seats, furniture and kitchen/bathroom furniture for domestic use covered by this NF mark: have characteristics that comply with French and European standards, and with the technical specifications relating to them, come from a manufacturing process whose quality is ensured in accordance with the provisions set out in the standard.

NF Biocombustibles solides – Bois de chauffage

The NF Biocombustibles solides – bois de chauffage mark brings you guarantees: Guarantee of information, Guarantee of the quality of the product ordered, Guarantee of service and comfort.

NF Biocombustibles solides – Briquettes

Wood briquettes (also known as densified wood logs or calorific logs) are, as with pellets, the result of the compression of shredded wood. They come in the form of logs or bricks of between 20 and 35 cm in length.

NF Biocombustibles solides – Charbon de bois

The NF Biocombustibles solides certification attests to the combustion quality of raw charcoal or in the form of briquettes, based on the following characteristics: fixed carbon content, moisture, granulometry, density and absence of chemical products.

NF Biocombustibles solides – Granulés

Wood pellets are compressed, all-natural sawdust cylinders (no chemical binders added). Pellets can be made from softwood or hardwood sawdust with an average diameter of 6 mm and a length of between 3.15 and 40 mm. Wood pellets may only be used in pellet stoves or boilers.

NF Contreplaqués (CTBX – CTBC)

This certification attests the technical characteristics, the performances and the suitability for use of the plywood panels intended for an external use and the plywood panels intended for a use in formwork. CTB-X : Plywood panels intended for external use. CTB-C : Plywood panels intended for a formwork use

NF Environnement Ameublement

This certification applies to all furniture products, in particular office, education, community and domestic furniture. Certified products must meet ecological criteria (low impact on the environment throughout the life cycle) and suitability for use criteria defined in a standard.
