Bois des Alpes ™
The BOIS DES ALPES approach ™ creates an optimal value chain between the forest and the building industry (short circuits, energy performance, profitability, development of job opportunities, new market perspectives), whose impacts benefit the territories of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions, and their protagonists. The aim of this certification is to enhance the value of local resources by producing a range of timber from the Alps that meets the requirements of the timber construction market and is in line with sustainable development.
This collective mark of certification of products and services is built in a concerted way with the political and institutional structures and the professionals of the sector. It is framed by a technical reference system and appendices, belonging to the Bois des Alpes association.
The guarantees provided on the product are :
- The origin of the wood and the processing of the products, within their respective perimeters.
- Full traceability.
- The technical characteristics of the products.
- Respect for principles such as
Sustainable/responsible forest management through PEFC™ or FSC® certification for the origin and chain of custody, the drying of the wood,
Structural classification (by machine beyond C24).
