The NF NF Portes résistant au feu en bois mark replaces the NF BLOCS-PORTES INTERIEURES FASTE classification. This new NF Portes résistant au feu en bois offers an ACOTHERM option for acoustic or thermal performance.

It has been developed in close relation with the NF Portes résistant au feu en métal, the 2 certifications being managed by the same governance bodies.

Products involved

The NF Fire Resistant Doors marks concern :

  • swing doors, sliding doors, vertical stripping curtains
  • duct units and fronts and inspection hatches duct fronts
  • fixed or opening glazed frames.
  • The operating modes are as follows:

Mode 0: Normally closed door without a re-closing system
Mode 1: Normally closed door equipped with a re-closing system
Mode 2: Door in any waiting position (usually open) equipped with a hold-open system and a closing system

A method of proof and compatibility:

In accordance with the decree of 22 March 2004, the NF fire resistant wooden doors mark provides proof of the conformity of the products with the regulations. The NF certificate is a method of proof equivalent to the fire classification report.

For self-closing fire resistant doors, the NF Fire resistant wooden doors mark is also proof of the compatibility of the fire resistance with the electromechanical characteristics of the NF S 61 937 series of standards.
