Carbon Forest and Wood
The French forest-wood sector constitutes a major asset in the fight against global warming and its effects.
- In particular, through the carbon sequestration generated by forest growth, but also potentially by the sequestration in wood products in use
- and further by replacing other more energy-consuming materials and by replacing fossil fuels.
The works of FCBA, and in particular of the ENSA and EEP clusters, is intended to identify the optimum strategy between the different uses of materials and energy and between the two uses of wood. From analyses of methodologies: annual accounting, additionality, permanence, biogenic carbon accounting, and carbon substitution to strategic analyses in terms of public policies: carbon neutrality management cascade, etc.
We are co-founders of the Carbon Forest and Wood Club with the CDC.
