A.E.V.M. testing on external joinery and curtain walls
This test is designed to assess the air permeability, water tightness and wind resistance of joinery or facades. It can be combined with tests designed to assess mechanical characteristics (operating forces, axial torsion resistance, bracing, safety device resistance). It is carried out at FCBA and also directly on your premises.

COFRAC-accredited (according to standard NF EN ISO 17025) to carry out these tests for over 10 years on your equipment and for much longer on FCBA equipment (which guarantees the recognition of these tests), the teams at the Testing and Simulation Laboratory assist you in evaluating the various performance characteristics of your joinery or façade products, regardless of their constituent material (wood, aluminium, wood-aluminium composite, PVC, etc.), their composition (with a roller shutter box, ventilation grille, etc.), their shape or their dimensions.

As a recognised laboratory, we work closely with all players in the sector: manufacturers, certification bodies, experts, design offices, etc.

These tests can be used to meet the notification requirements under EU regulations for the affixing of the CE marking on joinery and façade products, or they can also be used in the context of a Technical Approval Document (DTA).

  • Today, FCBA is the only laboratory notified under Article 46 of the CPR to carry out tests on your installations in accordance with the requirements of standards EN 14351-1 and EN 13830 under its notified body number.
