Abrasion resistance - Determination of specimen deterioration

Abrasion resistance - Determination of specimen deterioration
The purpose of this test is to simulate the wear and tear on fabric caused by the friction of our clothing.

To perform this test, the technician mounts four test specimens on the abrasion tester. The technician then runs 3,000 cycles and conducts an initial assessment of color fading by comparing the specimens to a control fabric. If the result is unsatisfactory, the test is stopped; otherwise, the technician continues in the same manner at regular intervals. If the samples show no deterioration, the test is stopped at 100,000 cycles.
