Color fastness tests - Color fastness to back-and-forth rubbing
The purpose of this test is to simulate the friction between our clothing and a seat cover, so we can determine, for example, whether sitting in a red seat at the movie theater while wearing white pants will result in us leaving with the same pants or with red pants.

A leather test specimen is rubbed with a standard wool felt pad that is dry, wet, or soaked in an artificial sweat solution. The bleeding on the rubbing felts and the leather is evaluated using a gray scale.
