Testing of surface resistance to moist heat

Testing of surface resistance to moist heat
The purpose of this test is to evaluate the surface's resistance to humid heat.

A standard aluminum alloy block at a specified test temperature is placed on a damp cloth in contact with the test surface.

After a specified test duration, the block and the damp cloth are removed, and the test surface is allowed to rest for 16 to 24 hours. The test surface is then cleaned and examined for any signs of damage, such as discoloration, changes in gloss and color, blistering and swelling, or other defects.

The test result is expressed as a numerical rating code.
