Biobased Webinar: Adhesives and Additives
Le 08.06.2022
Participate in the cycle of 4 webinars organised by the Carnot Institute PolyNat on different bio-based materials.
Indeed, the search for alternatives to fossil resources and the need to fight against climate change encourage the development of new materials and a more environmentally friendly chemistry. This is why the Carnot PolyNat aims to make the most of biomass for the eco-design of bio-based materials and devices, with hitherto unequalled properties, and developed from renewable and sustainable resources.
Convergence of academic and applied research: bio-based adhesives and additives.
Scientific activities in the field of bio-based materials have experienced a prodigious boom in recent years, due to a particularly pressing societal demand for an alternative to petroleum-based materials. At the same time, technical centres, industrial producers and also contractors are mobilising to propose credible alternatives, with the strong constraint of economic viability. We will illustrate here by an example the trajectory of an academic research supported by projects of the Carnot Institute PolyNat which led to a start-up project in the field of packaging and biosourced adhesives.
On the program:
Bioglue: an example of biosourced glue (FCBA)
Biowet: dry and wet paper reinforcement additives (CTP)
Funcell: the creation of a start-up By Laurent Heux, Research Director at CERMAV and Julien Leguy, CTO of Funcell
