Since Woodrise 2021 in Tokyo, FCBA and Kijuku members have been exchanging research work on a regular basis. A joint project has brought the 2 organizations together: working on methods for diagnosing wood structures.

Kijuku is an association of academics working on all aspects of timber construction.

Since Woodrise 2021 in Tokyo, FCBA and Kijuku members have been exchanging research work on a regular basis. It was decided by both parties to work on a common project: methods for diagnosing wood structures, covering biological, thermohydric and mechanical aspects.

The signing of this partnership at the Woodrise 2023 congress in Bordeaux is the first step in this collaboration, which will see students welcomed to Japan and France in 2024.
