New and updated EHDSs

Work to update the environmental impact statements for wood floors has led to the publication of two environmental impact statements on the INIES database by CODIFAB:

• Flooring for individual houses, consisting of a solid wood joist and a wood panel slab, and manufactured in France
• Flooring for tertiary buildings, excluding ERP, consisting of solid wood joisting and a wood panel slab, and manufactured in France

The ESDS for wood plywood (2 sides) has been produced and published in 2021. The professional organisations concerned (UIPC, UIPP) have requested that two additional ESDSs be produced to cover MDF and wood veneered particleboard (2 sides).
These ESDS are now available on the INIES database:

• 2-sided wood veneered MDF panels, manufactured in France, for interior use
• 2-sided wood veneered particleboard, manufactured in France, for interior use

The professional organisations of the joinery sector have requested a study aimed at including substructures in the framework of validity of temperate and tropical wood EHDSs, published in 2021.
After a new data collection, an update of the variability calculation of the parameters and a second verification, the modified ESDS integrating these substructures are now available:

• Double glazed window and French window door, made in France, in European temperate wood
• Triple glazed window and French window, made in France, in European temperate wood
• Double-glazed window and French door, made in France, from tropical wood from Africa, South America or South-East Asia
• Triple glazed window and patio door, made in France, with tropical wood from Africa, South America or South East Asia

All these EHDS can be found on base-inies.fr and also on DE-bois.fr.
