Since Woodrise 2021 in Tokyo, FCBA and Kijuku members have been exchanging research work on a regular basis. A joint project has brought the 2 organizations together: working on methods for diagnosing wood structures.
The aim of this study, carried out by FCBA and financed by CODIFAB, is to prepare the transition to alternative wood protection solutions, with a view to removing the biocides mentioned above from the preservation market in the more or less short term.
On 17 January, ECHA published the updated consolidated list of substances of very high concern (SVHC) on its website, with the inclusion of 9 new substances. The number of substances on this list now stands at 233.
On 8 December 2022, the closing meeting of the "Menuiseries des Pays de Loire" collective operation was held. The operation was launched at the end of 2020 by BOIS HD, the ESB's engineering centre, in partnership with the FCBA technology institute, and with the support of the Pays de Loire region.
Following the experimental work carried out in the agri-food and clothing textile sectors, ADEME is launching a consultation, open until Friday 10 March 2023, on the methods of environmental labelling, and in particular the labelling format. It concerns the presentation to consumers of information characterising the environmental impact of a product.
Since 2014, the Catalogue Bois Construction, technically developed by FCBA and financed by France Bois Forêt and CODIFAB, has been a technical tool for architects, project managers, technical departments of contracting authorities, inspection offices, experts, company design offices and manufacturers. The site has now been modernised to simplify navigation and access to all content.
