These various standardised tests aim to assess the resistance of panels (treated or untreated) to basidiomycete wood-decay fungi (wood-rotting fungi). These tests enable manufacturers to obtain an accredited standardised test report, with an assessment of their panel's resistance to rot fungi, for use in service class 3 (XP ENV12038 test) or for use in railway carriage flooring (NF B51-295 test) as required in technical specifications ST056.
