Towards new applications for heat treatment of wood

At the beginning of 2020, the FCBA Technological Institute, in collaboration with CTB A+ certified professionals and the BioForBois biology research laboratory, formalised an innovative technique for the preventive and curative treatment of wood against wood-boring insects.

Since then, the methodology for this specific type of treatment has been developed and new Research & Development work has been undertaken by FCBA and its BioForBois laboratory, to evaluate its effectiveness on other types of wood pathologies.

Thus, new applications have been tested and formalised (treatment against termites in dry wood) or are being studied (treatment against merula).
