Physico-mechanical characterisation of insulation, decking, cladding and siding

Physico-mechanical characterisation of insulation, decking, cladding and siding
Tests to characterise the physical and mechanical properties of thermal insulation materials, wood or composite decking (WPC), cladding and siding, enabling their performance to be assessed and their compliance with current classification standards and requirements to be established.

The Testing & Simulation Laboratory conducts numerous tests to characterise and evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of thermal insulation, wood and WPC composite decking, cladding and siding used in the construction industry. We work with all stakeholders in these sectors: manufacturers and users, certification bodies, inspection agencies, experts, etc.

Characteristics concerned: accelerated artificial or natural ageing, thermal expansion, hygroscopic sorption properties, thermal conductivity and resistance, dimensional variations, flatness, warping, etc.

Test capabilities: climatic chambers, climatic enclosures, artificial ageing enclosures (QUV), accelerated natural ageing, perspirometer (Gravitest), flow meter, lambdameter, etc.
