Protocol for assessment of the ignitability of upholstered furniture - ignition source equivalent to a burning 20 g paper cushion

The purpose of this test is to observe the behaviour of a padding/cover combination when exposed to an ignition source equivalent to a 20g sheet of paper being set alight.
The padding/envelope combination is presented in the form of a model in a conventional form, a junction between the seat and the backrest as could be observed on a usual seat. The burner is lit, with the gas flow and pressure at the specified values, then it is left in contact with the model for 2 minutes. The test lasts a maximum of 20 minutes, and can be stopped if the model is too damaged.
