Environmental labels have existed for many years in the furniture sector. NF Environnement Ameublement is the French ecolabel that has been certifying furniture products since 1999. Many products are certified according to this standard, which includes 20 criteria covering the entire life cycle of products.
But it is not the only one and it is sometimes difficult to find one’s way through the jungle of labels that may concern furniture products: ecolabels, material labels, new circular economy labels, labels dedicated to the building industry, we tell you everything you need to know to make the right choices.
