CTB Sawn Timber

CTB SAWN TIMBER was created in June 2003 following the merger of the CTB Sciages and CTB Feuillus brands to bring together all hardwood and softwood sawn timber under a single identity.

The CTB Sawn Timber (CTB 503) certification, issued by the FCBA, guarantees the quality, compliance, and traceability of softwood lumber intended for structural and non-structural uses.

It applies to softwood lumber used in particular in construction, joinery, pallets, or cladding, and is based on strict requirements regarding:

grading (appearance or mechanical strength),
dimensions and tolerances,
moisture content,
and product marking.

The standard governs the entire certification process, from the initial application through annual surveillance, including regular audits of production sites and monitoring of industrial practices.

Certified companies must demonstrate control over their production, quality control, and drying processes, as well as the management of non-conformities and customer complaints.

Valid for one year and subject to renewal, CTB Sawn Timber certification is a guarantee of the reliability and performance of wood products, recognized by industry professionals.
