CTB SAWN TIMBER was created in June 2003 following the merger of the CTB Sciages and CTB Feuillus brands to bring together all hardwood and softwood sawn timber under a single identity.
Objectives and means :
Production control is carried out by FCBA, an independent organisation, accredited by COFRAC for the “CERTIFICATION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES”. This certification is based on a reference system that is both a working and communication tool. No less than 6 European and French standards serve as references for CTB Sawn Timber.
Below are the main certified characteristics:
Visual mechanical or appearance classification;
Compliance with “freshly sawn” or “dry wood” dimensions with standardised tolerances;
Moisture content of dry wood;
Careful packaging;
A winning approach
An external audit by FCBA, an organisation recognised in the timber sector and by the industry;
A competent team that listens to the various expectations and questions of sawyers;
Rapid consideration of regulatory requirements and market expectations;
5 main families of certified products: non-structural softwood, structural softwood, softwood for packaging and pallets, non-structural hardwood, structural hardwood; 1 to 3 annual site visits depending on the volume of sawn timber under certification
